One of the most common questions from someone considering our services is, “How comfortable is the ride?” The answer is, as comfortable as humanly possible. Our medically equipped coaches are built on special chassis in order to get a longer wheelbase than most other vehicles, and this helps ensure a smooth ride. They are much heavier than an ambulance, limo, or van, and this also smoothens any bumps on the road. To make things even better, the coaches have independent front suspension with air bags to cushion any bumps.
Comfortable medically equipped motor coaches
Inside, the medically equipped coach greets you with an adjustable hospital bed with constant airflow mattress. You’re welcome to take a nap, or sit up and watch the scenery out of a large bay window. There is an on-board bathroom, kitchen, and amenities for entertainment. Many describe the coaches as a home on wheels.
Another common question is why each medical transport requires two drivers. They take turns driving so you know the person behind the wheel is rested. Traveling state to state or cross country takes time, and the drivers will keep you moving through the night to make sure you arrive at your destination as quickly and safely as possible. Naturally, they’re used to all sorts of weather and can handle rain, wind and snow.
Each medical transport also has an experienced registered nurse. Our nurses have worked in ICU and/or ER and are trained to spot any changes in their patient’s condition. They have extensive experience with dementia and Alzheimer’s patients as well as other conditions. It is nice to know that you have a dedicated nurse by your side every step by the way, and an emergency physician to consult with if need be.
You can bring luggage, a family member and even a pet. In many cases we can tow a car along. We’ll pick you up at home or at your medical facility, and transport you comfortably to your destination.
